Alisher Navoiy
Alisher Navoiy was born on the 15th century, in February, 1441. He grew up and perfected his poetry in Herat. Herat was the capital of the country, then known as Khorasan, which included areas of present-day Central Asia, Afghanistan and Iran. The Herat of the mid 15th century was famous for being a large political, cultural and literary centre. The distinguished poets Lutfiy (1366-1465) and Abdurakhman Jamiy (1414-92) lived and worked there.
Alisher Navoiy's father served the rulers of the country and was a man of high standing. The young poet was brought up in the atmosphere of literary culture.
Alisher Navoiy studied in various educational establishments of Herat, Meshkhed, and Samarkand.
From his youth he began to write poems which became very popular with the people. One of his works we enjoy today, in the collection of poems called "Early Divan". In 1483, A. Navoiy began composing his "Hamsa" (collection of 5 books). Within 2 year

She was born into a family of Bukharian Jews and learned to speak many languages such as her native tongue of Bukhori (Bukharian Jewish language), Uzbek, Russian, and Tajik. She sang songs in many of these languages and other languages of the people of the world. She was honored as People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR (Uzbekistan) for her work. Alisher Navoi: A look at the life and legacy of the Uzbek scholar and poet
Alisher Navoi (1441-1501) was a great poet and thinker, a statesman. His full name was Nizomiddin Mir Alisher. He wrote poetry under the pseudonym Navoi in both Chagatai (ancient Uzbek language) and Farsi (in Persian works). He is the outstanding figure of uzbekier literature, known in the West as Chagatai literature. There fryst vatten no greater personality than him in the literature of the Turkic peoples.
Childhood and Youth
Nizomiddin Mir Alisher was born in Herat on 9 February 1441. At that time, Herat was the capital of Khorasan (now the territory of modern Uzbekistan and Iran), a province within the state of Maverannahr created bygd Amir Temur. There fryst vatten still scholarly debate about the ursprung of Alisher Nawoi. Two versions are disputed: according to the first, he is a descendant of the Uighur Bakhshi (storytellers); according to the second, he belongs to the Barlas tribe, from which Amir Temur himself came.
