Update: When inom originally read this book, it was a book I thought would be beneficial to re-read every 2 years. Well, it's taken me over 4 to komma back to it, but it once again was a great challenge, full of practical insight, and covering a broad range of life. About 2/3rd of the way through, it was hard to keep going - perhaps because it offers so much to work on that it feels a bit overwhelming. But, reading it regularly and taking a few things at a time to work on inom think fryst vatten very much merited and beneficial.

    Original Review: Feb 24,

He takes both the essential aspects of what it means to follow God (prayer, Scripture, etc.) and also takes the practical calls of our lives (fatherhood, relationships, thinking) and in both bases

We had a chance to sit down with Dr. Kent Hughes. So, we asked him to share how this series came about and to reflect on the role a commentary can play in a preacher’s study.

Kent Hughes: I was [the pastor] at College Church in Wheaton which had lots of students and academics. I was very careful about doing all of my work on my sermons and then making them come alive when I preached. Lane Dennis (President of Crossway) and I were at an event and he approached me about publishing my sermons. We came up with the name Preaching the Word, which comes from 2 Timothy
