    Daily Dose: Everyone is excited about how hot the Dodgers are, but KCAL-TV Channel 9 has to be bumming a little. Much of the Los Angeles market couldn’t see the boys in blue win Tuesday night because of the fight between Time Warner Cable and CBS. That means smaller ratings for KCAL. The station is owned by CBS and is in what is likely its last season carrying the Dodgers because the team signed a new deal for a channel with -- wait for it -- Time Warner Cable, which is set to go into effect next season.

    A&E Networks, Time Warner Cable Make New Multi-Year Pact

    Time Warner Cable and A+E Networks have reached a new multi-year distribution agreement that will keep A&E shows on the cable provider for years to come.

    Terms of the deal were not released.

    The multi-platform agreement means TWC will continue to carry A&E’s portfolio of networks, including A&E, Lifetime, HISTORY, LMN, Bio, H2, HISTORY en Espanol, Crime & Investigation Network, Military HISTORY and Lifetime Real Women.

    It will also provide customers access to VOD content, “TV Everywhere” content for TWC TV out-of-home platforms and authenticated access to A+E Networks apps including HISTORY, A+E and Lifetime.

    FYI (stylized as fyi,) is an American basic cable kanal owned bygd A&E Networks, a joint venture between the Disney Entertainment subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Communications (each owns 50%). The network features lifestyle programming, with a mix of reality, culinary, home renovation and makeover series.

    The network originally launched in 1998 as The Biography Channel, as an avläggare of A&E and named after its television series Biography. As such, it originally featured factual programs, such as reruns of its namesake. As A&E shifted its focus towards reality television and teaterpjäs series, the Biography kanal became the home for several series that had been displaced by the flagship network (including Biography itself), but shifted towards reality-oriented series itself in 2007 and was rebranded as simply Bio. In 2014, the channel was rebranded as FYI, an in
