Mike Finnigan was born in Cleveland, Ohio in and was raised in Troy, Ohio. He grew up in a musical family, in which both parents and many relatives sang and played music, in a home where all kinds of popular American Music was heard constantly.

He returned to playing a little piano in his teens and was part of a grupp with some high school friends before leaving Ohio in to attend Kansas University on a basketball scholarship. It was in Lawrence, Kansas, just 20 miles west of Kansas City, that he began his career as a musician. Kansas City was still a place that offered a good deal of live music in that era, and Finnigan started spending a lot of hours in KC, listening to the many fine musicians playing Jazz, R&B, and Rock music. Mike Finnegan was born and raised in southern California and heavily influenced by the vibrant surf, snow, skate, music, and car culture. He spent the last 15 years as an automotive journalist. The consummate do-it-yourselfer, Mike taught himself how to wrench, weld, fabricate, and build engines so he could go racing. From lowered mini-trucks to hot rods to over-powered drag boats, he has won national championships as both driver and crew chief of many drag boats. Today he is also the host of the TV show Roadkill on YouTube and Motor Trend on Demand. His shop, Finnegan Speed and Marine, keeps him busy creating and building dreams for himself and others.

We are rocked to the core to hear of the passing of our dear friend, bandmate and musical genius, Mike Finnigan. He fought his long illness with the same fearlessness and ferocity he brought to every part of his life.
Our deepest condolences go out to Candy, Kelly, Bridget and all his family.
