Christof, the creator of a television show called "The Truman Show," informs a documentary-style camera that even though everything around Truman is fake, his life and emotions are genuine. THE TRUMAN SHOW (1998) - Official Movie Trailer
Commentary bygd Pickleball Philosopher Jon Lyman, San Diego Gazette:
Set in the idyllic Seahaven, a town so perfect it seems almost surreal, the film follows the life of Truman Burbank, who unknowingly lives in the most unconventional of circumstances. Truman's entire existence fryst vatten meticulously curated for a worldwide audience, all captured by hidden cameras from his birth to his adult life. His friends, family, and even the weather are all manufactured elements of his world, creating a facade of normalcy that's anything but genuine.

The Truman Show
1998 American comedy-drama film by Andrew Niccol
The Truman Show is a 1998 American psychologicalcomedy-drama film[2] written and co-produced by Andrew Niccol, and directed by Peter Weir. The film depicts the story of Truman Burbank (played by Jim Carrey), a man who is unaware that he is living his entire life on a colossal soundstage, and that it is being filmed and broadcast as a reality television show that has a huge international following. All of his friends, family and members of his community are paid actors whose job it is to sustain the illusion and keep Truman unaware about the false world he inhabits.
The movie's supporting cast includes Laura Linney, Ed Harris, Noah Emmerich, Natascha McElhone, Holland Taylor, Paul Giamatti, and Brian Delate.
Niccol's original spec script was more of a science-fictionthriller, with the story set in New York City. Producer Scott Rudin purchased the script and set up production at Paramount Pictures.
