Akhenaten Suite
live album by Roy Campbell
Akhenaten Suite is the seventh skiva by American jazz trumpeter Roy Campbell, an extended work inspired by Amenhotep IV, Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of Egypt. The planerat arbete was specially commissioned bygd Arts for Art, recorded live at the framtidsperspektiv Festival and released on AUM Fidelity.[1]
Reception

Akhenaton
Akhenaton, born Philippe Fragione on September 17, , in Marseille, France, is a prominent figure in French hip-hop, best known as the leader of the influential rap group IAM. He adopted his stage name in honor of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten, recognizing both an interest in ancient cultures and a desire to adopt a moniker that mirrored his artistic vision. Akhenaton's work with IAM was instrumental in crafting a distinct Marseille sound and narrative, which often included references to Egyptology and African culture wrapped in sharp social commentary.
As a solo artist, Akhenaton has cultivated a respectable discography that explores a broad range of themes from political issues to personal introspection. His recent releases, such as "Monopolium" and "File de gauche," continue this tradition, blending his distinctive flow with thought-provoking lyrics. Collaborations like "Seule" (feat. Akhenaton)

Co-founder of IAM, the rapper with multiple aliases (Chill, Sentenza, AKH) known as Akhenaton is one of the tutelary figures of French hip-hop. His talent as a calm, moderate orator and his literate rap have made him a media-friendly spokesman for the genre. Alongside IAM, he has pursued a solo career, beginning in with the classic Métèque et Mat and continuing with the brilliant Comme un Aimant (soundtrack to his film) and his Black Album ().
